LittleT is a very smiley, sociable and outgoing 14 month old. Wherever we go she smiles and waves at people, whether it is waiting at a checkout, sitting at a restaurant or meeting friends. She "talks" to everyone and observes everything around her.
There was a little sadness behind her first smile though, I was sitting on the sofa at home crying on her daddy's shoulder, having just found out that my uncle had unexpectedly passed away, when she decided to try her best to make mummy feel better. Of course Mr Tapas quickly pointed out that it could be wind, but this was a different type of smile that made her eyes lit up, she hasn't stopped smiling ever since. They do say that babies are very intuitive.
What's the story behind your children's first smiles?
