It was a surprisingly lovely sign of spring on the lawn this week, but you can tell the grass is dry from the lack of rain. Two seconds later T had ripped the daisy and was tasting it.

Wow, a daisy in early March! As you say really dry grass too, just don't expect either now!

It's a lovely day here in the Cambridgeshire countryside but you can tell there is a big need for quite a bit of rain 🙂

Love the composition! My gran has patches of daisies on her lawn that she makes everyone mow around!! Hope it tasted nice for T 🙂

She hasn't eaten another one so I'm guessing they're not as tasty as she first thought 😉 My gran used to have huge pots with daisy bushes, they were gorgeous. When she passed away we all wanted to keep one.

We have daisies in our lawn flowering too. Sadly hubby is about to dig them up to make a veg patch.

Oh no! But yay for the veg patch. I would love to have one and I dream of having a herb border so that I never run out again!

It feels fantastic to have a bit of sun and flowers to cheer up a little bit, isn't it? I love daisies, must learn to do a daisy chain (or shall I say revisit the past, 30 years ago aherm, and try to remember!)

My son was picking daisies for me yesterday! Fab shot!

Thanks Sarah. I can't wait for the crocuses to come out so that I can teach her to fill up a vase, I remembered loving doing that as a child

Beautiful! Love this time of year. I am going to take my daughter out for a walk this week to see what flowers we can find.
March 11, 2012 at 3:55 pm
It's perfect, isn't it? Warm enough to walk around without feeling compressed by a big coat, scarf, gloves, hat… But still not too hot. Barbecue weather is surely round the corner.

Ahh, a daisy among the weeds – a sure sign that Spring is on the way 🙂
March 11, 2012 at 3:56 pm
I love how they manage to grow anywhere and make everything pretty

we waled across the park the other day and my sun picked me a daisy, spring is here x
We still need a bit more rain but as long as it rains lots for a couple of days and then we get a day of sun before some more rain, I'm happy.
