The perfect comfort food, Jacket Potatoes, just got a whole lot easier with the Instant Pot Duo Crisp!

Jacket potatoes famously take ages in the oven or we end up taking a shortcut with the microwave, which not everyone likes to use.

What if you cook them from start to finish in one appliance?

Do you need to prick the potatoes before pressure cooking?

I don't prick them but you totally can if you want.

Don't have an Instant Pot Duo Crisp (yet)?

Follow the pressure cooking part and then crisp up under the grill, in the oven or in the air fryer.

Can I cook more than two potatoes at the same time?

I did two potatoes because that's all I needed.

In fact, I only needed one potato really.

You can fit more potatoes in to cook more at the same time.

If you want to bake quite a few potatoes you may need to use the air fryer basket provided with your Instant Pot Duo Crisp.

Or you could use the trivet / steamer rack on the lower setting for baking them too and pile them up.

Play with it to get it right.

The key is that you don't want the potatoes too near the air fryer lid (or the pressure cooking lid in fact) as they will obstruct the lid from doing its job properly.

What are the higher and lower settings of the Instant Pot Duo Crisp's trivet/steamer rack?

The handles of the trivet/steamer rack that comes with the Instant Pot Duo Crisp can also be locked in to become legs that can bring things closer to the Air Fryer Lid.

Below is a video I filmed to explain

Find all of mine in their dedicated collection. These are the ones that utilise the Air Fryer Lid.

You can cook all my usual Instant Pot recipes too, which you will find in my collection.

As you can see the Crisp gives you scope to cook a lot and the versatility that the Air Fryer lid provides is huge!

How about if my potatoes are HUGE??

The timings will vary for different sizes of potatoes. Very large potatoes will need longer, small potatoes will need less time.

Oops forgot to take a decent photo the way I like it... You'll have to forgive me.

    a) I was hungry.

    b) My life and personality are both a tad imperfect 😉

Thank you for showing how the trivet works! I didn’t know they locked! This is information no one tells you about. Right now my biggest problem is how to cook two thing together, so they come out the same time. Like frozen breaded shrimp and a baked potato. I just got my Duo Crisp so I am new to all of this. Thank you for your recipes and help!
