The best thing about Air Fryers is that they don't need preheating, making this Air Fryer Baked Camembert a super quick treat!
I love Baked Camembert. Sometimes I dip bread, sometimes a spoon (less calories and carbs, right?).
I already have a Baked Camembert recipe for a pressure cooker. So yeah, I love camembert.
It's delicious served with Cranberry Sauce, which takes next to no time to pressure cook.
You could serve it with cold meats like gammon, even better Cranberry-Glazed Gammon.
Ingredients
All you need is a camembert really. Yes, that's it.
Well, or two or three camemberts.
You could fit up to four at the same time in the basket of the Instant Vortex (just saying), which is a similar size to the basket of my other favourite air fryer (the Cosori).
Instructions
You can leave the Camembert directly in its wooden base, remove the lid and any pretty bits it may include.
After removing the rest of the packaging, cut a cross, insert a couple of garlic cloves (unpeeled, whacked with the back of the hand), some fresh thyme or rosemary leaves (a fair bit in fact).
You can also pour a dash of white wine through the cross you've cut.
With 8 minutes to go, I tend to add crusty bread rolls so that I can dip them in the bread.
Full instructions in the recipe card below.
Equipment
You'll need an Air Fryer.
If you have a camembert baker, you can also use it. Just bear in mind that it will take longer for the heat to get through and you might need to increase the air frying time by a few minutes.
Top Tip
Play with the flavours, choose different herbs, different wines or even nothing, not even a cross on top when you just want the fastest of treats.
📖 Recipe
Air Fryer Baked Camembert
Equipment
- Air fryer
Ingredients
- 1 camembert wheel 250 g
Optional
- 1 garlic clove or 2
- ½ teaspoon fresh thyme or rosemary leaves
- Dash white wine
Instructions
- You can leave the Camembert directly in its wooden base. After removing the rest of the packaging, cut a cross, insert a couple of garlic cloves (unpeeled, whacked with the back of the hand), some fresh thyme or rosemary leaves (a fair bit in fact). You can also pour a dash of white wine through the cross you've cut.
- Air Fry, 180°C / 356 F, 16 minutes. This is in the Instant Vortex, air fryers are like ovens, times can vary. The Vortex has a built-in preheating time, so in other air fryers that start the countdown immediately, you may need to add a couple of minutes. If your camembert wheel is larger than the standard supermarket 250 g, you may also need to add a bit of time
Tip
- With 8 minutes to go, add part baked rolls so that it's all done at the same time and ready to dip. You could also add cherry tomatoes at this time

I'm not usually one to review recipes - but I'm so happy with this one! I'm surprised at how quickly it cooked the camembert and I will definitely be using my air fryer for baked camembert from now on. I used garlic and rosemary with a little bit of olive oil on top as I don't really like wine. It was perfect.

Used this recipe but added rosemary and honey. Cooked to perfection in half the time of a conventional oven

So happy you enjoyed it Tracey! And yes, the fact that it's so quick is great, isn't it? (not so much for the hips 😂)

Oh adding honey, now that sounds really good. Baked camembert with crusty bread, red onion chutney served with some cured meats, is one of my and hubby's indulgent meals. Love it. I order my airfryer, getting the Ninja dual arriving tomorrow. Can't wait to start using it. Wish me luck!
